We were called to an address in Hersham in the early hours of 8 April following reports of a female having a medical episode. Officers assisted colleagues from Southeast Coast Ambulance Service and the road remained closed for a couple of hours. The female was subsequently taken to hospital for further medical attention. A man must complete 200 hours of unpaid work, pay a £1,207 fine, and is disqualified from driving for 1 year, as a result of dangerous driving and driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol. Surrey Police officers were called to Cobham High Street on 1 November 2024, following numerous reports of a public order incident. Shortly after, Ahmed Al Sanawi, 35 (DOB: 11/11/1990), of Cobham, drove off in his yellow Lamborghini Urus, speeding along the high street and mounting the pavement, despite the presence of pedestrians. When stopped by police, Al Sanawi claimed he does not drink alcohol. He was later found to be nearly twice over the legal limit on completion of a roadside breath test and an alcohol blood test. He was later sentenced at Staines Magistrates Court on 18 March 2026. Investigating officer PC Dumont-Barter said: "I think it is important to give a special thanks to PS Ambler, PC Hall and PC Green for their assistance as part of the investigation, which helped get this case to court. "As the footage shows, this turn of events could have ended very differently. "Al Sanawi's decision to get behind the wheel of his vehicle, whilst nearly two times over the legal limit of alcohol put not only himself at risk, but also his family and other road users. "Drink or drug driving and dangerous or careless driving are two of the 'fatal five' factors which are considered the main causes of serious injury or fatal collisions on our roads. "This should be an important reminder to all drivers that every decision behind the wheel can carry serious consequences."
A man whose dashcam captured him driving erratically, halting traffic and overtaking at speed has had his driving licence suspended for five years. Officers were investigating a report of an assault when they collected the dashcam of Robin Cull, who had been injured in an alleged hit-and-run on Woking Road, Guildford, back in March of this year. Cull, 47 (DOB: 29/06/1978) of Claremont Avenue, Woking, claimed the driver of a black Golf had driven at him, resulting in a broken leg. While it initially appeared that Cull had been the victim of a road-rage incident, investigating officers searching his vehicle’s dashcam were shocked to find footage capturing Cull driving at speed across the county, overtaking several vehicles, and reaching speeds of up to 130mph on the A3.
The Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Survey is now live. The survey is run yearly and is a vital way of us learning about the ASB issues that matter to you in your community. We welcome thoughts on areas you’re concerned about, whether you live, work, or visit that location. We know that ASB is not a minor issue for those involved, and that persistent ASB can be an indicator of serious and organised crime, such as exploitation. This survey is an important tool for us to help understand the issues you face, the impact it has on you, and how we can improve our response to ASB. The survey is open until Tuesday, 5 May. It should only take 5-10 minutes to complete, and your answers will form the basis of the work we carry out going forward to reduce ASB where you live. Please complete the survey at Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Survey 2026
